Baton Rouge High School Bulldogs are being recognized from shore to shore! Here are a few highlights of how current students are raising their banners high:
Baton Rouge Magnet High School Senior Sofia Akinniyi is a 2019 Horatio Alger State Scholar. The program specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives with a scholarship valued at $10,000. The scholarships are funded by Horatio Alger Members who, like the Scholars, have experienced challenges but ultimately overcame them to become successful business and civic leaders. Sofia is a three year state semifinalist in Tennis and an Ambassador for the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition (BRYC). She plans on studying Neuroscience at Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, GA.
