Class of 1957 alumna, Donna Saurage has been named one of Business Report’s Influential Women in Business for 2019. Donna is the sole manager of CCC Holdings LLC/Community Coffee Company.

David is the Vice President and Chief Population Health Officer for NYC Health and Hospitals. East Baton Rouge Parish School System has announced their Counselors of the Year and we have TWO counselors who made the list.
Freshmen Guidance Counselor Tiffany Banks is the High School Counselor of the Year.
Sophomore Guidance Counselor and Class of 2009 BRHS graduate, John-Pierre LaFleur is the New Counselor of the Year.

Students in the News:
Two Baton Rouge High School seniors and one junior scored a perfect 36 on the ACT this Spring. Seven students have now scored a 36 at BRMHS on the ACT this school year and a total of 18 students have accomplished this feat over the last 2 years. Senior Patrick Herke is a National Merit Scholar and a member of the BRHS Orchestra. He is the son of Scott Herke and Linda Heffernan. He plans on attending LSU and majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Senior Matthew Gravois is a National Merit Scholar and a member of the BRHS Orchestra. He is the son of Gerard Gravois and Denise Bostick. He plans on attending LSU and majoring in Physics. Junior Cindy Zheng is on the Science Bowl and Girls Golf Teams. She is the daughter of Zhe Zheng and Hong Hao.
BRHS Senior, Yilin Zheng, placed 4th in the senior division of the George Rodrigue 2019 Scholarship Art Contest for her painting titled “Zodiac”.
