The BRHS Foundation would like to congratulate Marcus Schafer, Khanh Pham, Jonathan Poss, and Steven Guo on their perfect scores.
Baton Rouge High School Senior Jonathan Poss scored a 36 on the ACT and a 1600 on the SAT. According to PrepScholar.com, out of the 1.7 million students who take the test every year, only about 300 get the highest possible SAT score. Only 1 tenth of 1 percent of students score a perfect score of 36 on the ACT. Poss enjoys competition math and is president of the Science Club. He is the son of Sherry and Stephen Poss.
Juniors Marcus Schafer, Khanh Pham, and Steven Guo scored 36s on the ACT. Schafer plays violin in the BRHS Orchestra. He is the son of Mette and Kenneth Schafer. Pham is the Vice President of the STEM Club. He is the son of San Chu and Huy Pham. Guo is conducting Stem Cell research at the LSU Vet School. He is the son of Naiwen and Shengmin Guo.
Since 2017, 15 Baton Rouge High School students have scored 36 and another 23 have scored 35 on the ACT.
