Two BRHS Seniors Named Coca-Cola Scholar Regional Finalists

February 4, 2021 By BRHSF

Baton Rouge Magnet High School seniors, Jay Iyer and Ju-Woo Nho, have been named Regional Finalists for the 2021 Class of the Coca‑Cola Scholars Program, moving to the next round of the selection process to become a Coca-Cola Scholar and receive a $20,000 college scholarship.

Jay and Ju-Woo were among 1,609 Semifinalists who were selected from over 99,000 initial applicants and are now two of 251 students who have moved to the final selection phase of regional interviews.

After the interviews are conducted in late February, 150 of the Regional Finalists will be designated as Coca-Cola Scholars in March to receive a $20,000 scholarship and participate in the Coca-Cola Scholars Leadership Development Institute facilitated by program alumni.

Collectively, the Coca Cola Scholars Foundation will award $3.1 million in college scholarships to these outstanding young leaders.
