Lucy Thomas, senior at Baton Rouge Magnet High School, has been named the BRMHS Student of the year. Outside of this achievement, Lucy’s academic excellence includes AP Scholar with distinction, National Merit semifinalist, NHS vice president, Interact Club representative and event coordinator, and Beta Club member. Lucy excels outside of the classroom as much as she does inside it, with academic achievements including being a 2024 cross country state champion, a 2024 3200-meter state champion, cross country team co-captain, adn two-time EBR Athlete of the Week.
