Baton Rouge High School Bulldogs are being recognized from shore to shore! Here’s a few highlights of how current students, faculty and alumni are raising their banners high:

Business Report and Junior Achievement announced the individuals and companies to be honored at the 2019 Business Awards & Hall of Fame gala in April. Two Baton Rouge High School graduates are among the most prestigious honorees:
Hall of Fame Laureate: Jake Netterville, chairman emeritus, Postlethwaite & Netterville, BRHS Class of 1956
Businessperson of the Year: John Engquist, executive chairman and director, H&E Equipment and BRHS Class of 1972
All of this year’s honorees will be profiled in the March 12 issue of Business Report and honored at a gala on Thursday, March 20, at the Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge.

Students and Student Organizations:
Baton Rouge High School led the area with the most Presidential Scholar Candidates. Presidential Scholars Finalists from BRHS are: Robert Chumbley, Patrick Herke, Selia Jindal, Samuel Li, Jonathan Poss, Brian Tsai and Anusha Zaman.
The BRHS Speech and Debate Team placed 1st in Overall Sweepstakes at the Dutchtown Speech and Debate Classic this month. Over 10 students placed in the top 3 in their respective divisions.
Rudi Neubrander was awarded Honorable Mention in jazz/percussion by the National Young Arts Foundation. Rudi will be participating in Young Arts Week in Miami next month.
Magnolia Hillman-Vincent, BRHS Senior, was awarded 2nd Place in the High School Division of the 2018 Ernest J. Gaines Student Author Competition
